Travel Nursing Job Details

Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 1, 2024 – July 31, 2024)
Healthcare Setting: On-site, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab Unit)
Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Variable shifts; 4x10 hour shifts per week
Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2330 - $2500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (New York RN license preferred)
Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN or acute care nursing experience
BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification preferred
Strong clinical, critical thinking, and communication skills
Ability to adapt to variable shifts and a fast-paced clinical environment

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Cath Lab, assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
Monitor patient status before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Educate patients and families on cardiac procedures and post-procedure care
Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed
