Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Clinton, Maryland 20735 (Greater Washington, DC area)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1890-$2030
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Call Requirement: 36 hours per 6 weeks (on premises within 45 minutes of call)
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend/holiday as needed
- Float Requirement: Required to float to like units (e.g., Mom/Baby) before permanent staff
- Scrubs: Provided
- Charting System: Cerner
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Compact or Maryland RN license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred)
- Must register for C-EFM during compliance or within first two weeks of assignment (C-EFM through NCC preferred)
- Two supervisor references required
- Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk, fast-paced clinical setting
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries
- Perform fetal heart monitoring and triage obstetrical patients
- Recognize and manage abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Precept and serve as charge nurse as needed
- Float to Mom/Baby or similar units as required
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled
- Respond to call requirements and be on-site within 45 minutes when called
