Travel Nurse Job Details

Location: Wichita, Kansas 67214
Healthcare Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (26 beds)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
Start Date: July 27, 2025
End Date: October 26, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Self-Scheduling: Yes – flexible scheduling for work-life balance
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1930–$2070

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Kansas or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2+ years preferred)
Experience circulating C-sections in a hospital setting
Strong teamwork, adaptability, and clinical skills
BLS certification required (ACLS, NRP, or other certifications a plus)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Assist and circulate for C-sections and procedures (inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, Doppler)
Monitor patients using advanced clinical equipment (Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, GE monitors)
Collaborate with experienced nursing staff and healthcare leadership
Document patient care in CPN Gold and Meditech EMR systems
Follow unit guidelines and hospital policies, including Oxytocin protocols
Promote a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and satisfaction
