Key Job Details – CVICU RN Travel Assignment
- Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104 (Texas healthcare jobs)
- Facility Setting: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Unit Size: 16 beds, 3rd floor (3 West), A Tower
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing – Registered Nurse
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
- Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts biweekly
- Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1360 - $1460
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience (CVICU, adult ICU, Neuro ICU, or Critical Care specialty)
- Proficient in ventilator management, arterial/central line, and chest tube management
- Ability to float to Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU as needed
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- BSN and CCRN certification preferred
CVICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in a CVICU setting
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring, manage Swan Ganz catheters, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella device management (preferred skills)
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Adhere to unit policies and guidelines, and uphold a team-oriented approach
