• Healthcare Setting: 2nd Medical Unit, 28 beds
• Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Schedule: Every other weekend required; flexible weekdays
• Patient Ratio: Nights 6:1
• Support Staff: Unit Secretary, 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) during days
• Equipment: Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter, Remote Telemetry
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Black or royal blue scrubs
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1530-$1640

Med/Surg RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Tennessee or compact state
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale and CPI certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets
• Ability to float between Med/Surg units as needed

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform IV and Foley catheter placements
• Operate advanced medical equipment including wound vacs and remote telemetry
• Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Comply with all unit policies, guidelines, and dress code requirements
