ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula, Michigan)
• Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, 24-bed ICU
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/30/2025 – End: 3/1/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: No scheduled call; may be placed on call if census drops
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,100 - $2,250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Experience with vented ICU patients
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Preferred: Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a Level II Trauma ICU
• Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions: post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock
• Operate advanced medical equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Document patient care and interventions using Cerner EHR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as required, rotating with other travel nurses
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub colors: galaxy, royal, or navy blue)
