ICU RN Job Details
- Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Upper Peninsula, Michigan)
- Healthcare Setting: Level II Trauma Center, 24-bed ICU
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/30/2025 – End: 3/1/2026)
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call: No scheduled call; may be placed on call if census drops
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,100 - $2,250
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Experience with vented ICU patients
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Preferred: Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in a Level II Trauma ICU
- Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions: post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke with lytics, post-craniotomy, and septic shock
- Operate advanced medical equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
- Document patient care and interventions using Cerner EHR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Float to other hospital units as required, rotating with other travel nurses
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and dress code (scrub colors: galaxy, royal, or navy blue)
