ICU Nurse Job Details
- Location: Marquette, MI 49855 (Michigan healthcare jobs)
- Facility: 24-bed ICU, Level II Trauma Center
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Electronic Health Record: Cerner
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Experience caring for ventilated ICU patients
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Preferred: Experience in CVICU, Neuro ICU, organ donation, or pediatric DKA
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
- Manage complex cases: post-open heart, heart failure, respiratory failure, trauma, surgical ICU, post-stroke, post-craniotomy, septic shock
- Operate and monitor advanced clinical equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, Prisma Flex CRRT, Impella, IABP, EVDs, bolt monitoring, ventilators, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen
- Document patient care accurately in Cerner EHR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Follow hospital policies, including dress code (galaxy, royal, or navy blue scrubs; no hoodies or open-toed shoes)
- Float to other units as required to support hospital patient care needs
