Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Crown Point, Indiana (46307) – Indiana healthcare jobs
• Facility Setting: OB Labor and Delivery Unit
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend and assigned holidays
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680–$1800
• Unit Details: 11 Labor Beds, 16 Post Partum Beds, 2 ORs, 2 Recovery Bays
• Patient Ratios: 1:1–1:3 in labor, 1:6–1:8 in post partum
• EMR System: EPIC

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
• Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM certifications required
• Proficiency in fetal monitoring, infant warmers, FSE, IUPC, and epidural care
• Ability to float between Labor & Delivery and Post Partum units
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to manage emergency situations

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers, antepartum, post partum, and gynecology surgery patients
• Manage labor processes, including FSE, IUPC, and epidural care
• Monitor fetal well-being using advanced clinical equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC EMR
• Support a positive, team-based work environment and assist fellow nurses
