Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Salem, MA 01970 (North Shore, Massachusetts nursing jobs)
• Unit: Davenport 8 Medical Telemetry (37-bed medical telemetry unit)
• Contract Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: January 4, 2026
• End Date: April 4, 2026
• Hours per Week: 36 hours/week
• Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) with every other weekend; night shift positions available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1780-$1910
• Employment Type: Travel RN
• Charting System: EPIC electronic medical records

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Telemetry Registered Nurse
• Active Massachusetts RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Telemetry certification required
• Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Experience managing cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, Heparin)
• Ability to float to other clinical units as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Telemetry Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with cardiac and medical diagnoses including CHF, Atrial Fibrillation, Pulmonary Embolism, and Pneumonia
• Care for post-pacemaker and post-cardiac cath lab patients, and those with cardiac co-morbidities
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips; accurately interpret telemetry strips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient care activities using EPIC EMR system
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff
• Float to other nursing units as required
