ICU Nurse Job Details
- Location: Hyannis, MA 02601 – Cape Cod healthcare jobs in a coastal, historic setting
- Assignment Type: Travel ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: January 5, 2026
- End Date: April 4, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed)
- Shift: 12-hour rotating nights (7:00pm – 7:30am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
- Unit: Float between ICU and CVICU
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2100 – $2250
ICU RN Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience required
- Strong communication skills in English
- Preferred: BSN, CCRN, TCAR, de-escalation certification, and experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring
ICU Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care nursing to ICU and CVICU patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Educate and guide ancillary healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Develop individualized care and discharge plans
- Communicate patient data to interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
- Support staff orientation and ongoing education
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Follow hospital policies, safety, and infection control procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and represent the hospital within the Massachusetts healthcare community
- Perform additional duties as assigned by nursing supervisors
