Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Johnson City, NY 13790 (New York healthcare job)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Lab
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), On-Site
• Start Date: December 18, 2025
• End Date: March 14, 2026
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day shifts, 0700-1530 or 0700-1730; options for 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts
• On-Call: At least once per week and every fourth weekend (additional on-call available if desired)
• Holiday Schedule: On-call required for 12/24 evening/night
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,030 - $3,250

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (6 months to 3 years preferred in Cath Lab nursing or acute care)
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• ACLS Certification
• Stroke education/NIHSS (Apex) completion
• Strong collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), CCRN certification, prior ambulatory or acute care experience

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiac catheterization patients
• Serve as primary or accountable nurse for assigned patients in the Cath Lab
• Educate patients and families on cardiac health, disease management, and post-procedure care
• Safely administer medications and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Promote a caring, healing environment and advocate for patient-centered care
• Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and professional development initiatives
• Support onboarding of new staff and students; perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties as needed
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and hospital policies
