ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Portland, Maine (04102) – Maine nursing jobs
- Facility: Emergency Department (60+ beds)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Start Date: December 14, 2025
- End Date: March 14, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: Float to all areas of the Emergency Department
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Maine RN license or eligibility to obtain (Registered Nurse licensure required)
- BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
- CPI or similar workplace violence prevention training
- Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient Med-Surg or Emergency Department Technician roles
- Experience with acute adult and pediatric patients preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Dress code: Scrubs (any color); no artificial nails, excessive jewelry, headphones/earbuds, or inappropriate attire
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses in a busy Emergency Room setting
- Monitor and assess patient conditions using Phillips VS Monitors, EKG machines, and other clinical equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Float between all areas of the Emergency Department as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
- Uphold safety, infection control, and hospital compliance standards
- Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and patient-centered care in every interaction
