ER RN Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Portland, Maine (04102) – Maine nursing jobs
• Facility: Emergency Department (60+ beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: December 14, 2025
• End Date: March 14, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Float to all areas of the Emergency Department
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,990 - $2,130 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Maine RN license or eligibility to obtain (Registered Nurse licensure required)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• CPI or similar workplace violence prevention training
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient Med-Surg or Emergency Department Technician roles
• Experience with acute adult and pediatric patients preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Dress code: Scrubs (any color); no artificial nails, excessive jewelry, headphones/earbuds, or inappropriate attire

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses in a busy Emergency Room setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions using Phillips VS Monitors, EKG machines, and other clinical equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float between all areas of the Emergency Department as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC EMR
• Uphold safety, infection control, and hospital compliance standards
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and patient-centered care in every interaction
