• Duration: 13-week contract

• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or medical/surgical nursing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Completion of all required onboarding health and professional documentation (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, physical, TB screening, etc.)
• Ability to complete skills checklist and competency exams
• Strong assessment, clinical support, critical thinking, and communication skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide specialized cardiac nursing care for patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac conditions
• Monitor and manage patients with implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, VADs)
• Deliver pre- and post-procedural care for cardiac catheterization, ablation, and chemical cardioversion
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Serve as a clinical resource for patients awaiting heart transplants
• Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital and healthcare policies
• Support hospitalist services and gain broad medical-surgical nursing experience
