Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845
• Healthcare Setting: General Medical and Surgical Units (Central Registry Float)
• Start Date: December 29, 2025
• End Date: March 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7am to 7pm)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Hourly Pay Rate: $95.00/hr to $105.00/hr

RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Minimum 1.5 years of acute care experience in Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary hospital settings
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital (600+ beds)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and inter-professional communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with chronic illnesses, infections, neurological, and mental health conditions
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and document using Epic EHR
• Administer IV therapy, manage wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and medication drips (heparin, insulin)
• Operate hospital equipment including Pyxis, Accucheck, Hospira IV pumps, SCDs, and telemetry monitors
• Float to various medical units as needed to provide clinical support
• Participate in a comprehensive orientation program, including hospital and nursing orientation, plus Epic training
• Maintain safe patient ratios of 1:5-6
