Indiana Nursing Job Details
- Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Indiana nursing jobs)
- Setting: General Medical and Surgical Units (Central Registry - Float)
- Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (12/29/2025 – 3/30/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7pm – 7am)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
- Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
- Hourly Pay Rate: $98.00/hr - $108.00/hr
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state
- BLS certification through AHA
- Minimum 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary hospital experience
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience at a large hospital (600+ beds)
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and inter-professional communication skills
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care to individuals with chronic illnesses, infections, neurological conditions, and mental health disorders
- Conduct nursing assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Operate and manage medical equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and telemetry monitors
- Administer and monitor heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy, and other medications
- Float to various medical units as needed to provide clinical support
- Document patient care and interventions accurately using Epic EHR
- Participate in Jump Start orientation, including general hospital orientation and Epic training
