Indiana Nursing Job Details

• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Indiana nursing jobs)
• Setting: General Medical and Surgical Units (Central Registry - Float)
• Employment Type: Travel RN Contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (12/29/2025 – 3/30/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7pm – 7am)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs
• Hourly Pay Rate: $98.00/hr - $108.00/hr

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or compact state
• BLS certification through AHA
• Minimum 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary hospital experience
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience at a large hospital (600+ beds)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records (EHR)
• Strong clinical assessment, care planning, and inter-professional communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care to individuals with chronic illnesses, infections, neurological conditions, and mental health disorders
• Conduct nursing assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Operate and manage medical equipment including IV pumps, wound vacs, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and telemetry monitors
• Administer and monitor heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy, and other medications
• Float to various medical units as needed to provide clinical support
• Document patient care and interventions accurately using Epic EHR
• Participate in Jump Start orientation, including general hospital orientation and Epic training
