Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (HVTI-Stepdown unit)
• Start Date: January 30, 2026
• End Date: May 1, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts per week (Day: 7:00am – 7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm – 7:30am; rotation may be required)
• Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (travel or permanent)
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or Compact State RN License
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross)
• NIHSS certification required
• Supervisory reference from Cardiac Stepdown (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Availability to work at least every other holiday during assignment

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions; respond promptly to changes
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
