- Location: Augusta, Georgia 30901
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Surgery – PreOp, PostOp, PACU
- Job Type: Travel RN Assignment
- Start Date: January 12, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Contract Duration: 14 weeks
- Schedule: 4x9-hour day shifts/week (8:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Patient Population: Pediatrics to Geriatrics
- Unit Census: 10-18 patients daily, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Charting System: Epic, Pyxis
- Scrubs: Provided
- Weekends: Not required
- Call: No call required; flexibility to stay late as needed
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license or Compact State RN license (must be in hand)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Proficient in IV placement/maintenance, conscious sedation, and anesthesia (general/local)
- Experience with surgical specialties: retina, orthopedic, hand, breast oncology, ENT, lap chole, hernia repairs, podiatry, and more
- Ability to float to all Outpatient Surgery divisions
- Complete onboarding compliance prior to start date
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Available to work major holidays during assignment, per facility policy
RN Responsibilities – Outpatient Surgery
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in PreOp, PostOp, and PACU settings
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative monitoring for pediatric to geriatric patients
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage pain/sedation
- Start and maintain IVs; assist with procedures involving conscious sedation, general, and local anesthesia
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care using Epic and Pyxis
- Float to other outpatient surgical units as needed
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive healthcare environment
