Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Unit: Med Surg/Oncology (24-bed remote telemetry unit)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/13/2026 – End: 4/14/2026)
• Charting System: Meditech EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Kansas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg or Oncology RN experience required
• Chemo certification preferred (Oncology Nursing Society/ONS preferred)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical skills and positive attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse healthcare setting
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to oncology and med/surg patients
• Administer chemotherapy (if chemo-certified) and standard med/surg treatments
• Monitor patient vitals, assess changes in condition, and respond promptly
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in unit initiatives and contribute to a positive, supportive nursing environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members using advanced technology, including iPhone nursing systems
