Telemetry RN Job Details

Location: Wichita, KS 67214 (Kansas healthcare jobs)
Unit: Telemetry Unit (37 beds)
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Start Date: January 13, 2026
End Date: April 14, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7PM – 7AM (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Kansas or compact state)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Positive attitude and strong communication skills
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patients in a 37-bed Telemetry unit
Manage patient ratios of 1:6 (1:4 for Heart Catheterization patients)
Administer medication drips and operate PCA/IV pumps
Provide care for patients recovering from Heart Catheterization procedures
Perform and assist with central lines and bubble studies
Collaborate with RNs, Patient Care Techs, and Unit Clerks to deliver quality clinical support
Document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
