Location: Newton Lower Falls, MA 02462 (Boston area nursing jobs)
Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
Unit: 5 South - Labor & Delivery
Start Date: January 19, 2026
End Date: April 18, 2026
Duration: 13-week travel contract
Hours per Week: 36
Shift: Rotating Day/Night (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:15pm-7:15am), every other weekend, rotating holidays
Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active and unrestricted RN license (Massachusetts nursing license preferred)
Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
Current BLS certification
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Completion of onboarding, orientation, and health screenings
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns
Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
