Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent MICU or ICU nursing experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
MICU RN Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
- Administer medications and manage medication drips
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment (CRRT, chemo infusions)
- Assist with procedures: bronchoscopies, EGDs, central line placements
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and patient care technicians
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Demonstrate a positive, engaged, and efficient approach to patient care
