Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Minimum 1 year of recent MICU or ICU nursing experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred

MICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and treatment responses
Administer medications and manage medication drips
Operate and monitor specialized equipment (CRRT, chemo infusions)
Assist with procedures: bronchoscopies, EGDs, central line placements
Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and patient care technicians
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
Demonstrate a positive, engaged, and efficient approach to patient care
