• Location: Akron, Ohio 44304
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Unit: Medical/Surgical (H5)
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 2/1/2026 – End: 5/2/2026)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5/6

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state nursing license
• BLS certification (required for all nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical/surgical RN experience
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be listed on resume)
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Ability to float to other hospital units as needed
• Solid black scrubs required
• Proven ability to manage a fast-paced healthcare environment with frequent patient turnover
• Submit all requested time off (RTO) at application (max 7 days; no RTO first two weeks)

RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Unit

• Provide high-quality patient care to diverse populations: general surgery, urology, women’s health, trauma, orthopedic, and more
• Manage a patient load of 5-6 with frequent admissions and discharges
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as required
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-turnover clinical setting
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including nursing dress code
