Med/Surg Telemetry RN (Travel Nurse) – Nights in Middlebury, Vermont. Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with telemetry and charge RN experience for a 16-week travel nursing contract in scenic Middlebury, VT. Strong EPIC EMR experience and ACLS/BLS certification required.

• Location: Middlebury, VT 05753 (Addison County, Vermont travel nursing)
• Assignment Length: 16 weeks (possible extension up to 32 weeks)
• Start Date: January 5, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Shift: Nights – 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel RN contract / Travel Nurse position
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in any U.S. state (pending licenses considered case-by-case)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience (cardiac telemetry, patient monitoring)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (no first-time travel nurses)
• Charge RN experience required (leadership, unit coordination)
• Proficient with insulin drips and cardiac drips; strong medication administration skills
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (EPIC charting required)
• Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (NIHSS required prior to start)
• Progressive care or step-down experience preferred (Telemetry / Progressive Care RN)
• Ability to work every other weekend and adapt schedule for unit needs
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (limited public transit; snow tires recommended Nov–Apr)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and management of telemetry alarms
• Manage insulin and cardiac drips safely according to hospital protocols
• Serve as Charge RN when assigned: lead shifts, delegate tasks, and provide clinical guidance to the team
• Document all care and communicate plans using EPIC EMR (accurate charting and electronic handoffs)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Adapt to unit needs including weekend, holiday, and variable staffing patterns
• Participate in bi-weekly orientation and ongoing professional development opportunities
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
