Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state (required for nursing jobs in TN)
Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
BLS certification from AHA
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

L&D RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
Monitor mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum period
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Administer medications and assist with pain management techniques
Educate patients and families on labor, postpartum, and newborn care
