• Location: Hendersonville, Tennessee (37075) – Greater Nashville area
• Healthcare Setting: The Birth Center – OB Unit
• Job Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit Details: 20 LDRPs, 5 OB assessment beds
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 couplets; 1:1 for active labor, VBACs, and high-acuity cases
• Dress Code: Shocking pink scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Experience with triage and couplet care in a clinical setting
• Ability to circulate in the operating room (OR)
• Proficiency with GE fetal monitors and Meditech/CPN documentation systems

L&D Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, including triage, labor support, and postpartum care
• Monitor fetal and maternal well-being using advanced clinical equipment
• Circulate in the OR for C-sections and assist with procedures such as epidurals, postpartum tubals, cerclage removal, and circumcisions
• Provide bedside shift reports and ensure an excellent patient experience every shift
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including secretaries, techs, and OB scrub techs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to unit policies and healthcare guidelines
