• Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Southwest Florida healthcare jobs)
• Facility: 19-bed Labor & Delivery Unit
• Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: January 23, 2026
• End Date: April 25, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 3 shifts/week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• On-Call: 12 hours per 6-week schedule
• EMR System: Epic
• Scrub Colors: Galaxy Blue and/or White

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Florida or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (American Heart Association)
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (required)
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring and EFM certification (preferred)
• Ability to provide care for high-acuity patients
• Degree accreditation on profile or 5 years of RN experience required
• Willingness to float to other units or sister campuses as needed
• Submit all time-off or schedule requests with application

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
• Monitor and assess patients, ensuring safety and comfort throughout labor and delivery
• Utilize advanced fetal monitoring skills to interpret and respond to patient needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide exceptional patient care
• Document all care provided using Epic EMR system
• Float to other units or campuses as required, functioning as core nursing staff
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
