Connecticut ER RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: January 12, 2026 – End: April 12, 2026)
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department (ED)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (NOC), every other weekend and every other holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job
• On-Call: None

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a facility with over 150 patient visits per day
• Recent EPIC electronic health record experience (within the past 6 months)
• Required certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a busy Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments and clinical interventions for diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in emergency nursing
