Travel Nursing Job Details
- Location: Phoenix, AZ 85006 (Arizona nursing jobs)
- Assignment Type: Travel RN position
- Unit: Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg)

Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Arizona or compact state)
- BLS Certification (required before first shift)
- ACLS Certification (required before first shift)
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med/Surg hospital setting (2 years preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and create individualized patient care plans
- Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
- Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams on patient care goals
- Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission
- Promote patient and staff safety by following hospital policies and clinical protocols
- Support a positive team environment and contribute to unit operations
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
