Travel Nurse Job Details
- Location: Olympia, WA 98506 (Washington nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: January 13, 2026
- Shift: Night, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 (Days & Nights), may vary 1:4-6 depending on unit acuity
- Unit: Float Personnel 1 (Float RN) – Floating between Med/Surg and Telemetry units
- Charting System: EPIC
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington or Compact State (pending license accepted)
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred
- Telemetry experience required
- Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC charting system required
- Must have U.S. nursing experience
- Reliable transportation required
- Local travelers within 50 miles of Olympia are not eligible for this travel nursing contract
Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities
- Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units, adapting to diverse patient populations and acuity levels
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and provide care for patients with cardiac conditions
- Implement isolation precautions and manage patients on nasal cannula oxygen therapy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC electronic health record system
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients, including those boarded from the ER
- Participate in scheduled weekend coverage
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and complete all required onboarding and training modules
