ICU RN Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46805 (Indiana nursing jobs)
• Setting: ICU – 12 beds
• Shifts: 3 shifts/week, 12-hour nights (3pm – 3am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Hourly Pay Rate: $89.00 - $99.00 per hour
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs
• Orientation: 2 days on unit after jumpstart; mandatory 7-day orientation (Mon-Fri week 1, Mon-Tues week 2, 8-hour days)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year in ICU (critical care nurse)
• Active Indiana or compact RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
• Proficient in ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and psychiatric patient care
• Experience with EPIC charting, Pyxis medication administration, ventilators, Bipap, and EV 100s preferred
• Ability to float to other critical care units as needed
• Mandatory attendance for all orientation days

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care in a 12-bed ICU (Intensive Care Unit)
• Monitor and manage ventilators, Bipap, and critical care equipment
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and Pyxis for medication administration
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other critical care units as required
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3
• Participate in ongoing training and mandatory orientation programs
