• Location: Washington, DC 20007
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient Oncology Clinic
• Job Type: Travel RN Contract (13 weeks)
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Shift: 5x8-Hour Days (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit: Lombardi CNC Oncology Clinic
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active DC Registered Nurse (RN) license required at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience (inpatient and outpatient preferred)
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification required
• OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) and ONS/ONCC certifications preferred
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system preferred
• Strong clinical skills in care coordination, abnormal lab value recognition, isolation and neutropenic precautions, telephone triage, psychosocial care, and symptom management
• Experience caring for patients with various cancer types: bladder, kidney, brain, breast, colorectal, ENT, leukemia, lymphoma, hematology, GYN, and more
• Two supervisor references required

Outpatient RN Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in an outpatient clinic
• Perform telephone triage, patient and family education, and support
• Recognize and communicate abnormal lab values promptly
• Implement isolation and neutropenic precautions
• Manage symptom control and provide psychosocial care
• Assist with GYN examinations, bone marrow biopsies, and aspirations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including social services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response
• Document patient care using Cerner (preferred)
