• Location: Meriden, Connecticut (06451) – Central Connecticut nursing jobs
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (1/26/2026 – 4/26/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (NOC), every other weekend and every other holiday
• Hours per Week: 36
• Unit: Emergency Services / Emergency Department (ED)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• No on-call required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
• Recent experience (within the past 6 months) with EPIC EMR
• Experience in a high-volume ED (150+ patient visits per day)
• Required certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to diverse patient populations
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and changing patient conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Work scheduled night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday
