ER RN Job Details – Connecticut Healthcare Jobs
- Location: Meriden, Connecticut (06451) – Central Connecticut nursing jobs
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (1/26/2026 – 4/26/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour nights (NOC), every other weekend and every other holiday
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: Emergency Services / Emergency Department (ED)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
- No on-call required
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Connecticut or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience
- Recent experience (within the past 6 months) with EPIC EMR
- Experience in a high-volume ED (150+ patient visits per day)
- Required certifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
ER Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to diverse patient populations
- Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Work scheduled night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday
