Compensation

• Pay Rate: $89.00 - $99.00 per hour, depending on experience

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845
• Healthcare Setting: 12-bed Progressive Care Unit
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (03:00 - 15:00)
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Dress Code: Caribbean blue scrubs
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 3-4:1 on the Progressive Care Unit, 4-5:1 on MedSurg, and 1:3 when floated to MedSurg units.

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Med/Tele at a similar size hospital
• Active Indiana RN license or compact state nursing license
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• ACLS certification
• Experience with drip titration preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC, PYXIS, Philips defibrillator, and Philips Bedside Monitors is a plus
• Must attend Jumpstart program and EPIC training, followed by 1-2 days of unit orientation

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage patients requiring close observation and advanced clinical interventions
• Float to similar units as needed, including MedSurg/Tele (maintaining a 1:3 nurse-patient ratio when floated)
• Perform drip titration for experienced nurses; otherwise, float to MedSurg/Tele units
• Utilize EPIC for electronic documentation and PYXIS for medication management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
