Job Details

• Position: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse / Travel RN
• Location: Plano, TX 75075 (Dallas–Fort Worth area)
• Unit: Burn Trauma ICU (C Tower, 3rd Floor)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 1/5/2026 – End: 4/6/2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per pay period
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1460 - $1540

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state) — required for Texas nursing jobs
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience; Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to float to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or PCU units as needed
• BSN and CCRN preferred
• BLS required; ACLS and other critical care certifications a plus
• Team-oriented, proactive, and willing to support colleagues in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional critical care nursing in a 30-bed Burn Trauma ICU
• Perform advanced wound care, assist with surgical and burn procedures, and manage complex dressings
• Respond to codes, participate in massive transfusion protocols (MTP), and manage EVDs
• Utilize advanced critical care equipment and monitor hemodynamic status for trauma and burn patients
• Document care and interventions using Meditech EMR; maintain accurate clinical records
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, PCTs, physicians, and leadership to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Support a positive, team-based work environment and contribute to best practices in trauma and burn care
