Job Details – Travel RN / Labor & Delivery Nurse

• Location: Lorain, Ohio (44053) — Greater Cleveland area, Lake Erie
• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN, OB Nurse)
• Employment Type: Travel RN / Temp-to-Perm
• Unit: Level 1 OB Unit (18 LDRP beds, 4 triage beds, 2 ORs)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (Every Other Weekend, Every Other Holiday)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with option to convert to permanent
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Scrubs: Provided on unit
• Bonus & Relocation: Eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation assistance upon permanent hire

Qualifications & License Requirements

• Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required); recent L&D, ED, or critical care experience preferred
• BLS certification (required before direct patient care)
• NRP certification (preferred; must obtain within 6 months of hire)
• EKG exam required
• Ability to flex between Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
• Experience with EPIC EHR, Obix, and GE fetal/monitoring systems (preferred)
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery RN / L&D Nurse)

• Provide patient-centered maternal and newborn care across Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
• Monitor and interpret fetal tracings using electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Assist with triage, stabilization, resuscitation, and emergency management of the mother/fetal dyad
• Circulate and recover C-sections; scrubbing experience is a plus
• Support breastfeeding, lactation education, and postpartum/newborn teaching
• Collaborate with OBGYNs, CRNAs, neonatal NPs, and interdisciplinary teams
• Document care accurately in EPIC and participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
