Travel OR RN | Weston, FL 33331 — 13-week perioperative travel nursing contract. Seeking Operating Room Registered Nurse with robotics, orthopedic, and neurosurgery experience for a teaching hospital in South Florida.

Job Details — Travel Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Travel Nurse (Perioperative RN)
• Location: Weston, FL 33331 (South Florida — near Fort Lauderdale & Miami)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Employment Type: Travel Contract (Travel OR RN / Travel Nursing Job)
• Shift: Days, 4 x 10-hour shifts (06:45 – 17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40 hours (guaranteed for 8/10-hour schedules)
• On-Call: 1 shift per week plus two 12-hour weekend shifts per month (details discussed at interview)
• Unit: Operating Room — 18 ORs (average daily census ~55)
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Orientation: 16 hours (plus pre-start modules)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100

Required Qualifications — OR RN / Travel Nurse Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 18 months direct Operating Room RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Clinical Strengths: Strong experience in Robotic Surgery, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery required (perioperative/OR skills)
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required at submission; NIHSS required prior to start
• License: Active RN license in any U.S. state (pending license accepted)
• Charting / EHR: Epic experience preferred
• Teaching Facility: Willingness to participate in training students and onboarding new staff (teaching hospital environment)
• Flexibility: Must be willing to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Compliance: Nicotine-free (negative cotinine screen required); COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Testing: EKG and pharmacology test required during orientation (2 attempts max each)
• References: Two references from a direct supervisor/manager, ANM, or director required
• Time Off: All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted — great opportunity for nurses new to travel nursing

Responsibilities — Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nursing Duties

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to adult and geriatric surgical patients across a broad range of specialties
• Scrub and/or circulate for complex cases, with emphasis on robotic-assisted, orthopedic, and neurosurgical procedures
• Maintain strict sterile technique and infection prevention standards; follow Universal Protocol and time-out procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient room turnover and optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in required on-call rotation, including scheduled weekend coverage
• Complete all required pre-start modules and onboarding tasks promptly
• Support the teaching environment by assisting with training and onboarding of students and new staff
• Float to other units within scope as needed to support facility operations
