Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Salem, MA
- Employment Type: Travel / Contract
- Start Date: March 15, 2026
- End Date: June 13, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Rotating Days/Evenings/Nights with every other weekend (mostly Days/Eves with minimal rotation to Nights; specific rotations based on facility scheduling needs)
- Unit: Float Pool – Med/Surg Tele (must be willing to float to 8 units)
- Charting System: Epic EMR
- Parking: Free on-site parking
- Pay Rate (Hourly): $0/hr (as provided)
Telemetry RN Requirements
- License: Active Massachusetts RN license (required)
- Certifications: AHA BLS (required)
- Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital Registered Nurse experience (required)
- Telemetry Skills: Telemetry monitoring, measuring intervals, and interpreting rhythm strips every 4 hours
- Clinical Skills: Cardiac drips; TR Band experience preferred
- Float Readiness: Comfortable floating across multiple Med/Surg Tele units and adapting quickly to unit workflows
Key Responsibilities (Med/Surg Tele Float Pool RN)
- Float throughout the hospital to Med/Surg Tele areas including Davenport 5/7/8/9, ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
- Provide safe, high-quality acute care nursing for varied patient populations, including ED border patients and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients
- Perform cardiac monitoring, manage cardiac drips, and interpret telemetry strips per unit standards (every 4 hours)
- Support unit needs such as serving as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit when assigned
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely, patient-centered care
- Work within typical ratios of up to 5:1 (days/eves) and up to 6:1 (nights), based on unit needs
