Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown or acute care nursing job
• Stepdown unit experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing changes and responding appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiac conditions, procedures, and recovery
• Document all care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff
