- Assignment Type: Travel Contract – 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 30, 2026
- End Date: June 27, 2026
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: Days (12-hour shifts)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour days with alternating day off
- Call: Weekday call required + rotating weekend call (Fri–Sun) with 30-minute response time
- Patient Population: Pediatric through Geriatric
- Case Volume: 10–15 interventional cases per day — ideal for experienced IR technologists
- Equipment / Systems: Philips imaging systems, EPIC EMR, PACS
- Local Candidates: Accepted
Qualifications & Certifications
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology / Angio technologist experience required — experience in neuro-angiography preferred
- Neuro-angiography experience required; must have experience beyond basic peripheral access, lines, or drains
- Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR and PACS required
- ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS (AHA) required; ACLS (AHA) preferred
- Preferred: Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution
- Occasional CT scrub required (no other areas)
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced interventional radiology environment
Responsibilities — Interventional Radiology Technologist / Angio Technologist
- Assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic, interventional, neuro-interventional, and vascular procedures using strict sterile technique
- Prepare, administer, and document medications, contrast, and radiation exposure according to hospital policy
- Obtain and verify patient clinical history and labs; ensure complete pre-procedure documentation and informed consent verification
- Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and caregivers; address questions, consent concerns, and comfort needs
- Administer contrast via power injector as ordered; assess risk for contrast reactions and assist with initial response
- Apply radiation safety principles to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self; document radiation doses and adhere to ALARA practices
- Select and operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography) to achieve optimal procedural imaging
- Perform accurate pre-, intra-, and post-procedure documentation in EPIC and PACS; follow downtime procedures when required
- Assist with CT, ultrasound, and diagnostic procedures as needed, including occasional CT scrub duties
- Maintain inventory, manage procedural supplies, and communicate supply needs to the interventional team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to promote safe, patient-centered care and positive procedural outcomes
