Labor & Delivery RN (Travel Nurse) – Night Shift | Dickson, TN (Near Nashville)

• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts) — Night Shift RN / Overnight L&D Nurse
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Unit: Women’s Services (LDRP, OBED, NICU, OR Suite) — Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Neonatal care

Job Requirements (L&D Registered Nurse Qualifications)

• Active RN license (state licensure required for travel assignment in Tennessee)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience, including charge experience
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required
• Fetal monitoring training/competency required (electronic fetal monitoring skills)
• Experience with labor, recovery, and transition of newborns; familiarity with NICU handoffs
• Preferred: Experience managing OB emergencies (shoulder dystocia, postpartum hemorrhage, maternal/fetal resuscitation)
• Experience with Meditech and CPN documentation systems is a plus
• Dress Code: Pink and/or brown scrubs required per infant security policy

Key Responsibilities (Labor & Delivery Nurse Duties)

• Provide comprehensive L&D nursing care: maternal assessment, labor support, delivery management, and postpartum care
• Use advanced fetal monitoring and manage inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) with precise documentation
• Receive, transition, and care for newborns; coordinate safe handoffs to NICU when indicated
• Assist with and perform procedures including C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum and forceps-assisted deliveries
• Serve as a clinical resource and charge nurse as needed; support team-based care and daily safety rounding
• Float within the facility and cross-train between LDRP, NICU, and OBED areas to support staffing needs
• Adhere to unit policies, maintain patient safety standards, and document care accurately in electronic medical records
