Job Requirements / Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply — New Jersey licensure or compact RN may be required)
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Current BCLS (AHA) and ACLS certification required
Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or equivalent Critical Care experience
Experience as a Cath Lab RN, Cardiac Cath Lab nurse, or cardiovascular nurse preferred
Ability to complete required onboarding health screenings, documentation, and credentialing for travel nursing

Responsibilities — Cath Lab RN / Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse

Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures
Record and continuously communicate patient condition to physicians and the cardiovascular team
Assess procedure room and equipment readiness and assist with maintenance and inventory
Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure the Cardiovascular Laboratory team's needs are met
Address psychosocial, physical, and peri-procedural care needs in the surgical environment
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities related to Cath Lab nursing
