Job Details / Travel Nursing Job Summary
- Position: Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (Float Pool) / Travel RN
- Location: Tucson, AZ 85741 — Tucson travel nursing, Arizona nursing jobs
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (March 2, 2026 – June 1, 2026)
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770 (competitive weekly pay for travel nurses)
- Float Pool: Must be willing to float between Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Northwest Houghton, and Northwest Sahuarita
- EMR: Cerner (experience required) — Cerner experience preferred for faster onboarding
- Scrub Color: Any color
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona (compact licensing not accepted unless AZ license held)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience — strong telemetry and cardiac monitoring background
- Proven experience with Cerner EMR required
- Willingness and ability to float between departments and facilities as needed (float pool experience a plus)
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills
Responsibilities / Clinical Duties
- Deliver high-quality Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, recognize dysrhythmias, respond to changes in patient status, and initiate timely interventions
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, medication administration, documentation in Cerner, and clinical decision-making
- Delegate and supervise patient care tasks according to staff education and scope of practice
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education, training, and unit orientation
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, patients, and families to ensure coordinated care
- Adapt to different units and workflows while floating as a member of the float pool
