DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: RN-ER/ED
Location: Fort Defiance, AZ 86504
Contract Type: Travel
Shift: 12-Hour Day Shift. Typical schedule is 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next, plus up to 1 on-call shift/week.
Must be flexible and open to days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needs may change. Maximum of two (2) Shift Call offs.
Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Job Description: Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients. With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non Covid: typically 4:1, max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1, max 3:1.
- Required Certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS. and PALS is required.
- Experience: Three (3) years of med-surg experience, 1 year pediatric experience required, MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH BOTH ADULT AND PEDIATRIC PATIENTS.
- Setting: 20 bed medical surgical unit for adults and pediatrics
- In addition to inpatient, may be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed. Travelers are expected to attend staff meetings.
- Other: Travelers are occasionally expected to float to other departments in which they are qualified to work. This could include taking a patient load if experienced and competent in that setting or could be task-oriented such as answering call lights, phones, etc
