Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or eligibility under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience or comparable med-surg nursing experience
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)
• Proven experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and rhythm recognition
• Strong clinical assessment, IV/medication administration, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education skills

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit as a Telemetry Nurse
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, rhythms, and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per physician orders
• Perform thorough clinical assessments and document interventions in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
