• End Date: June 13, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), every other weekend required
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (3x12 schedule)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Employment Type: Travel, On-Site — travel nursing job, acute care RN role
• Openings: 5 positions available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1910–$2010

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky (required at time of submission) — Kentucky RN jobs
• Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient RN experience, with recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / step-down / telemetry patient care
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree (ASN)
• Strong assessment, independent decision-making, and care planning skills in an acute care setting
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and patient education abilities
• English proficiency (read, write, speak)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and reassessments per policy and patient condition, demonstrating sound clinical judgment in the PCU / step-down unit
• Develop, implement, and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor telemetry and patient responses to clinical interventions; accurately document care using Epic EMR
• Facilitate and provide patient and family education throughout the hospital stay and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; function as a mentor and preceptor as needed
• Promote teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence within the unit
• Participate in practice governance, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practice initiatives
