Job Details

• Position: Travel CT Technologist / Computed Tomography Technologist (Hospital Setting)
• Location: Oak Lawn, IL 60453 (Chicago area / South Suburbs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (03/16/2026 – 06/13/2026)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) — Overnight CT tech role
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd weekend
• Employment Type: Travel / Contract
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,320 - $2,490

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years recent CT experience in a hospital setting; Level 1 trauma center experience required
• ARRT (CT) certification (required)
• Illinois IEMA license (required) — Illinois CT jobs candidates preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Experience with adult and pediatric CT imaging, trauma, stroke, CTA, biopsies, drains, cardiac and body imaging
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting (CT documentation and orders)
• Preferred: IV start experience and familiarity with CT stroke/perfusion protocols
• Orientation: 1 week on day shift to learn department flow, equipment (GE & Philips), and hospital protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures for adults and pediatric patients including trauma, stroke, CTA, cardiac, abdominal/pelvic, head, chest, extremities, biopsies and drains
• Operate and maintain GE and Philips CT scanners to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety
• Accurately document exams, protocols, and patient care in EPIC; maintain clear radiology communication
• Float to inpatient imaging center as needed; mid-shift floating may occur
• Collaborate with 24/7 respiratory therapy, hospitalist teams, ED staff, and interventional teams; participate in Code Blue / Rapid Response when required
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (including 1:1 for critical care cases) and follow trauma center workflows
• Provide coverage for holidays and perform duties consistent with overnight CT technologist expectations
