Travel RN Job Details

  • Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Florida travel nursing job)
  • Unit/Setting: Pediatric PACU / Peri-Anesthesia Care Unit (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit)
  • Start Date: 03/23/2026
  • End Date: 06/20/2026
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$1,960/week
  • Hours: Guaranteed Hours=40 Weekly
  • Shift: 10-hour day shift (10x4) | 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
  • Call: Required
  • EMR/Charting: Epic
  • Floating: Required as needed (travelers may float to sister campuses)

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of RN experience required, including pediatric nursing
  • License: Active RN license (state-appropriate for assignment)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • Education: Degree accreditation must be documented in profile, or candidate must have 5+ years of experience
  • Preferred: Prior travel nursing assignment experience
  • Professional Expectations: Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a patient- and family-centered approach

Pediatric PACU RN Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care for pediatric patients following surgical and procedural interventions
  • Perform focused assessments; monitor airway, breathing, and circulation (ABCs); manage pain and nausea; and respond to changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to support smooth recoveries and timely discharges
  • Educate and support families with clear discharge instructions and compassionate communication throughout the recovery process
  • Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic, following unit protocols, patient safety standards, and perioperative best practices
  • Participate in on-call coverage and float to other units/campuses as operational needs require
