• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $864–$960/week

Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician required
• Experience: 1+ year of pharmacy technician experience required (2+ years in utilization review/utilization management preferred)
• Ability to review clinical documentation and apply established criteria, guidelines, and clinical references
• Comfort communicating with provider offices to clarify treatment plans, prior authorization details, and medication needs
• Strong documentation skills with accurate, timely data entry in pharmacy/clinical systems

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records and treatment documentation to support medication and service determinations using approved criteria and resources
• Use clinical references and internal guidelines to assess appropriateness of requested medications and plans of care
• Contact servicing providers to obtain additional clinical information and clarify treatment plans when needed
• Coordinate approvals by notifying ordering providers and appropriate pharmacy partners to support timely medication fulfillment
• Identify cases that do not meet established criteria and route them for additional clinical review
• Confirm requests align with member benefits and remain compliant with applicable regulations and accreditation standards
• Meet turnaround time expectations and productivity goals while maintaining thorough documentation
• Maintain system integrity through accurate, timely updates and data entry
• Perform additional duties as assigned
