Minimum Qualifications (ER Nurse Requirements)

• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility (New Jersey nursing license preferred)
• Minimum 1 year recent Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong triage, rapid assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency room environment
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Core Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN Duties)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages in the ER
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions per provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams for patient plans of care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR/EMR)
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
