- Start Date: March 29, 2026
- End Date: June 28, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00); straight nights or straight days available with larger weekend commitment
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Charting: EPIC (Epic EMR)
- Parking: Free for night shift; discounted day passes with shuttle service available
Compensation
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,360 - $2,480 per week
Job Requirements (Pediatric ICU Nurse Qualifications)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU / Pediatric MICU experience, including ventilator management and inotropy
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (permanent license required)
- BLS and PALS certifications required
- Experience working in a Trauma Level I facility preferred
- Travel nursing experience required (previous Travel Nurse / Travel RN assignments preferred)
- Ability to float within scope to PICU, NICU, MSICU, and CICU as needed
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- Two professional references from two of the last three places of employment (different facilities)
Key Responsibilities (Pediatric Critical Care)
- Deliver high-quality, family-centered care to pediatric patients in the MICU as a Pediatric RN / Pediatric ICU nurse
- Manage ventilated patients and administer inotropic support (ventilator management, vasoactive medication administration)
- Care for patients with complex diagnoses, including neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, respiratory issues, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, esophageal atresia, trauma, and other complex pediatric conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other critical care units (PICU, NICU, MSICU, CICU) as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
- Document care and interventions accurately using EPIC (Epic EMR) and adhere to hospital documentation standards
- Participate in ongoing education, competency training, and professional development to maintain clinical excellence
